Nothing says warm weather to me more than the taste of fresh, muddled mint leaves. I love it when bunches of fresh mint start showing up on the shelves in the grocery stores… that means the mint in my garden will be popping up in no time. Time for mojitos!
This flavored water is so fresh, not overpowering, and perfect to serve to a large group of people at a special occasion meal. You can adjust the quantities a bit and make a glass for yourself on a hot afternoon. Or just make a whole pitcher, keep it in the fridge and sip some every time you want to feel amazing inside.
Mmmm this is so refreshing. Just looking at the pictures of it is making me feel calm!
What will you need?
32 ounces of club soda or regular water (or a mixture of the 2)
2 cups ice cubes
1 small cucumber, thinly sliced
1 cup fresh mint leaves, torn
How do you make it?
In a large pitcher, fill halfway with about 2 cups of ice. Squeeze all of the juice from your lemon and lime right into the pitcher. Throw the rest of the peel in there just for good measure and some additional color. Also, add in the sliced cucumber and torn mint leaves.
Pour the club soda over the contents and use a long wooden spoon to stir, combining all of the great flavors.
Serve in a tall, clear glass and make sure there are pieces of mint, cucumber and citrus in each one.
